Grantmaking to Create Jobs
Kusilvak Rising works to strengthen the 13 communities of the Kusilvak region by increasing economic opportunity, building local capacity, and supporting community-driven development. As a charitable nonprofit, we collaborate with tribes, municipalities, schools, and regional partners to advance initiatives that reflect local priorities. Our work includes supporting infrastructure and housing efforts, language and cultural revitalization, food security initiatives, gardening and land-based programs, arts and apprenticeship opportunities, and climate adaptation strategies. Through grantmaking partnerships and program development, we help communities access resources, build skills, and create pathways that support long-term resilience.

We support projects that align with our cultural values and ways of life.
Our housing projects are built through partnerships with reputable institutions and guided by data for meaningful outcomes.
